Trend Spotting- Herringbone Floors

I've been noticing a trend in some of my favorite photos lately...natural toned herringbone wood floors.  They can look modern or rustic, but always chic.  I SO want them in my next house...

Trend Spotting- Blue & White Ceramic

I'm not sure if you can exactly call this a trend since blue & white pottery has been around for ages, but lately I've seen it used in a modern way and I've got to say, I'm a-lookin', and I'm a-likin'.  Did you notice all of the blue & white ginger jars in my previous post on the lovely all-girl Brownstone?  Here are some other places I've spotted it:
