I've been noticing a trend in some of my favorite photos lately...natural toned herringbone wood floors. They can look modern or rustic, but always chic. I SO want them in my next house...
Oh oh i love wooden floors, but I prefer very light colour, almost to white.. I'm planning to have it in my office.. that is once i have office... haha! check out this floor, you might like it, its also straight wooden floor, not diagonal like in your pictures, but very nice anyways! http://www.livingetc.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=4786
Thanks for the link, that floor is very nice! I used to only like dark wood floors, but now I'm leaning towards the lighter tones. There's nothing better than a nice wood floor layered with a rug or two.
My hubby's first apartment had herringbone floors like these. You can imagine how sad I was to trade them in for the beige berber in our newlywed apartment!
I am an interior designer living in Phoenix. I love all things design & style related. This is where I catalog all of the fabulous and inspiring things I find because design, actually, is all around us.
