Back Home

I just returned from a great trip back to my little hometown of Jackson, Michigan.  It was a pretty low-key trip, filled with family, friends, and too much food and I enjoyed every minute of it.  When I go back home, I'm always struck by how green and lush the landscape is.  I never noticed how beautiful it is when I lived there, but since moving to the desert I really appreciate and miss it.   I hope to someday (soon) move to a place where I can enjoy the four seasons again, but for now I'll just have to be happy with my 300+ days of sunshine a year.  When in Jackson, I always make it a point to visit The Lilac Tree, a charming interiors shop that offers custom furniture, accessories, and gift items.   There are not a lot of shopping options in this small city,  so the Lilac Tree is a much needed style haven for those who don't want to drive out of town for all of their decor needs.  Connected to the shop is Caffe Lilla which serves delicious pastries, soups, and hot-pressed sandwiches that you won't want to miss.

  1. What a cute shop. I especially love the lamps. Did you happen to notice the designer?

  2. No, I'm sorry I don't recall who the designer is.
