This week's black & white post is a local Phoenix home owned by Berkley Vallone, head designer at Vallone Design. Featured in this month's Phoenix Home & Garden, this spread is a breath of fresh air compared to the typical bastardized Tuscan style shown in most local publications. I have to give a big thank you to Full House for scanning these images in (I never would have looked in the mag otherwise). You can check out the rest of the house on her blog.
LOVE the black wood floors & the eclectic mix of decor
I seriously need to have a tub like this in my next house
I'd probably spend more time doing laundry if my room was as fun as this
Love this seating area and the black & white stripes!
I hope Phoenix Home & Garden (and other local mags) will start featuring more inspiring homes like this. What I love most about this house is that you get a glimpse of the owner's personality and it's not just decorated to fit a certain style. Let's put an end to the dark, overdone, Tuscan nonsense that everyone seems so stuck on in the valley. C'mon, who's with me?
Happy Weekend!

I am so with you on the Tuscan theme. It's not only in Phoenix, it's everywhere. Very unimaginative and without any personal reflection of the owner's lifestyle, unless of course, you live in Tuscany.
ReplyDeleteI love that laundry room!
ReplyDeleteLove this post. I've just ordered a whole backyard's worth of B/W strip for my own yard. I'm posting all my inspirations today. Love you blog!
